CVSC Return to Play Skater Guidelines 2021/22
As per viaSport, Skate Canada and British Columbia/Yukon Return to Play for Figure Skating Guidelines, the Columbia Valley Skating Club will be putting into place the following guidelines for
the start of the 2021/2022 Phase 2 reopening of the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena and our skating programming. Please click on the link above to familiarize yourself with the guidelines.
Helmet Policy
All participants in Columbia Valley Skating Club programs are required to wear a CSA approved, not expired, hockey style helmet. Face shields are optional. I understand that my child will not be allowed to skate should they arrive without an approved helmet and no refund will be offered for days missed regarding such.

Release and Agreement
It is understood and agreed, as a condition of participation in skating programs offered by the Columbia Valley Skating Club and Skate Canada, that neither the club nor Skate Canada shall be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by the above noted member while traveling to or from or while participating in skating practice, competition or other activities. The member, or his/her parent/legal guardian shall indemnify the Club and Skate Canada and hold them harmless from any claims, demands or actions arising from or in respect of such injury loss or damage. Columbia Valley Skating Club is not responsible for classes missed due to unavailable ice, but will make every effort to reschedule if at all possible.

Photo Release
I give permission for my child to be included in photographs which may be used for publications, media coverage or promotional activities for the Columbia Valley Skating Club. If a name is to be used for newspaper we will contact families directly for permission.

Refund Policy
Program registration fees can be refunded for medical reasons. Please enquire with the current President regarding individual situations. The Skate Canada membership and insurance fees are non-refundable in any situation.
